A few employees share their THOUGHTS

After 11 years with Rimage, Brian Kelly still thinks “we sell a cool product.” As an Inside Sales Representative-Government Products, Brian spends his day engaged in detailed conversations with clients in order to fully understand their needs and provide comprehensive solutions. Before joining Rimage, Brian developed his listening skills and ability to ask the right questions while working as a Private Investigator. Brian is driven by the values of integrity and accountability to do his best work each day.
Melanie Huibregtse really appreciates the work culture at Rimage because “It’s very team oriented.” As Inside Sales Representative, Melanie manages the Rapid Exchange contracts and renewals. She also assists the sales team by providing leads, quotes and other important information they need when working with partners and customers in the field. Melanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. When she’s not working at Rimage, Melanie enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
Lee joined Rimage 14 years ago and has worn several hats including Tech Support, Application Engineer, Support Manager and his current position of three years, Product Manager. Lee believes the entire staff facilitates a corporate culture where doing the right thing is a priority. “The entire team believes strongly in collaboration, and any time there’s an issue, I hear ‘How can I help?’” Lee enjoys games of all sorts including computer, board games and playing poker with friends. A favorite quote by pianist and actor, Oscar Levant, who said, “There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.”
Yuko Takahashi was with a partner company of Rimage before joining the company as Regional Sales Director in Japan. He recalls, “When I saw Rimage products 10 years ago, I was strongly impressed. ‘What an interesting machine it is!’ This experience drew me to Rimage sales.” Yuko enjoys working with all the staff in APAC, who he describes as very friendly and professional. He adds, “Not only APAC staff but also everyone in Minneapolis headquarters is very helpful. Every time I feel I am a member of the Rimage family.”

Highlights of recent aCTIVITIES

	We’re using the fun of March Madness to make dreams come true. In March 2019, we sponsored a March Madness Pizza and Basketball event with all proceeds going into the Make A Wish Foundation. Employees gathered to enjoy pizza, create a winning bracket, and shoot some hoops at a March Madness Party.
	Being in business for forty-years is a big deal and that does not happen by accident. It is a testament to strong relationships that have been built as a team with customers and partners and should be celebrated. That is why in May 2018, Rimage employees in Minneapolis and our global colleagues gathered to celebrate this important milestone.
	We work hard every day, but we love to have fun too! You’ll find all kinds of employee events at our Minneapolis offices: our team pumpkin carving contest, a chili challenge, food truck lunches, ugly Christmas sweater contest, decorate your workspace for the holidays competition, monthly ice cream or donut celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries, Thanksgiving potluck with favorite dishes from your heritage, and more! There’s comradery, laughter, and good fellowship.
	Employees in Minneapolis gathered outside for a picnic lunch and company meeting as our guest speaker explained the intriguing process of rock balancing. With an eye toward the lessons of fulfilling individual roles and responsibilities, understanding how to work together, and achieving great success when you pay attention to the details, this outdoor lesson in rock balancing was both fun and challenging. Zong Yang, pictured here adding his fourth rock, was one of the talented folks who balanced five rocks that day!
	“We need a patio!” was the rallying cry at our Minneapolis headquarters. It became a do-it-yourself project, complete with drawing up plans, preparing a budget, recruiting volunteers, coming in early on warm summer days to dig up sod and lay down Class 5 rock, place over a thousand paver stones, erect a fence, build pallet furniture, assemble picnic tables, plant perennials donated from employees’ gardens, and yes, add a fish pond and waterfall. We now have a beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy during breaks and lunch, large enough for employee meetings and celebrations.
